What Is Fire Point Hire?
Fire point hire is the weekly rental of a complete fire point for a construction site. Each unit carries a break glass call point, a foam and a CO2 extinguisher and fire action signage, on a mobile trolley or a scaffold post. Delivery, installation, on-site servicing and collection are included.

Which Fire Point Does Your Site Need?
Use a fire trolley where the layout keeps changing and units need to move, and a scaffold post fire point on scaffolded elevations and upper lifts. Choose radio linked as soon as one sounder cannot be heard across the whole site.

Standalone or Radio Linked: What Is the Difference?
A standalone fire point sounds only where its call point is pressed. A radio linked (wireless) fire point is part of a network, so one activation sounds every unit on site. HSE guidance (HSG168) expects most construction sites to have a linked system of call points and sounders.

How Many Fire Points Will Your Site Need?
At least one on every occupied floor, placed so nobody walks more than 30 metres to reach an extinguisher, which is the benchmark in BS 5306-8. HSG168 treats one 13A water or foam extinguisher and one CO2 extinguisher for every 200 m² of floor area as reasonable cover for typical site hazards.

How Does Fire Point Hire Work?
Tell us the site, the start date and roughly how many units you need. We deliver and install the fire points, service them on site during the hire and collect them at the end. Hire is priced weekly with a one week minimum.

Which Extinguishers Come With Each Fire Point?
Every unit ships with one foam and one CO2 extinguisher. Foam covers solid materials and flammable liquids, and CO2 covers electrical equipment. Either can be swapped for water, dry powder or wet chemical to match your fire risk assessment.
