Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about fire safety equipment hire for construction sites.

General Questions

A construction site fire point is a designated location equipped with fire extinguishers, a break glass call point, and fire action signage. It gives workers a clearly identified place to raise the alarm and access firefighting equipment. Fire points are a standard requirement under UK fire safety regulations.

We offer four products: a standalone fire trolley, a radio linked fire trolley, a standalone scaffold post fire point, and a radio linked scaffold post fire point. Every unit comes fully equipped with foam and CO2 extinguishers, a break glass call point, and fire action signage.

A standalone fire point operates independently — the alarm is raised locally. A radio linked fire point connects wirelessly to other units or your site office, triggering a coordinated alarm across multiple locations simultaneously. Radio linked is recommended for larger or multi-zone sites.

A fire trolley is mobile and can be repositioned anywhere on site. A scaffold post fire point is fixed onto your existing scaffold structure, ideal for multi-level projects where a mobile unit isn't practical. Both are available as standalone or radio linked.
