Fire Hire UK Ltd supplies fire safety equipment on hire to construction sites, and we are responsible for the personal information described on this page. We are registered in England and Wales (company number 17039240), and our registered office is Unit 106 Imperial Court, Exchange Street East, Liverpool L2 3AB.

Our enquiry form asks for your name, company, email address and site postcode, and optionally your phone number, preferred installation date, hire length, the equipment and alarm type you are interested in, roughly how many units you need, and any notes you add. We only use what you choose to send.

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and arrange any hire that follows. The law allows this because you have asked us to take those steps before entering into a contract, and because we have a legitimate interest in answering business enquiries. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we never sell your details.

• Resend delivers each enquiry to us by email.
• Vercel hosts this website and runs the form.
• Our website developer receives a copy of each enquiry to check that the form is working and delivering. They do not use it for anything else.

Resend and Vercel are based in the United States, so your details may be processed there. Where a provider handles data outside the UK, it does so under safeguards recognised by UK data protection law.

The form uses ALTCHA, a spam check that runs a short calculation in your browser instead of asking you to pick out pictures. It sets no cookies and does not track you. To stop automated or repeated submissions, our server briefly holds the IP address of each request, and our hosting provider keeps short-lived logs of requests that our spam checks flag.

We keep enquiries for 12 months and then delete them. If an enquiry leads to a hire, the details we need for that hire are kept with our business records for as long as we are required to keep them.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, so we can improve it. The first time you visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies.

• If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID. They let us count return visits and last up to two years.
• If you reject, no analytics cookies are set. Google Analytics still receives basic signals without cookies, such as a page being viewed, which Google uses to estimate visits in aggregate.

We do not use cookies for advertising. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, so we don't ask on every visit. The site's typeface is loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests it from Google and Google receives your IP address.

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop or limit how we use it. You can also object to how we use it, or ask for a copy in a portable format. Email ben@firerental.co.uk and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
